The Light Explorer is an open access publication. In an open access model, the publication cost of an article is paid from the authors; research budget, or by their institution, in the form of Article Publication Processing charges. These fees replace the subscription charges and allow publishers to make the fulltext of every published article freely available to all readers.
Article Processing Charges are only made by the author(s) if an article is accepted for publication.
For submitted research articles, the authors are asked to pay a fee of $100 per processed paper, only when the article is accepted for publication after it has undergone a peer-review and after incorporating the possible revisions of the manuscript. The article processing fee is non-refundable.
