ABSTRACT

This study focused on the integration of ideological and political education in the Catering English course (IIPETCEC) at GIT, involving 6 teachers and 76 students. Using a mixed-method approach, the results showed that teacher assessments of IIPETCEC were low, while student assessments were moderate. Teachers rated their teaching competence in knowledge, skills, and attitude as moderate, while students rated them all as low. Student satisfaction in areas such as political stance, moral character, rule of law, and professional ethics was also low. The study found similar assessments from both teachers and students, with no significant differences based on demographics. The challenges faced by GIT in implementing IIPETCEC led to the development of a plan of action aimed at improving the integration of ideological and political education, promoting positive changes in teaching and learning.
