ABSTRACT
The study explored the relationship between self-defense proficiency and self-confidence among senior high school students. Using a descriptive-correlational research design, data were collected through surveys and performance assessments. Statistical analysis revealed a positive correlation between self-defense skills and self-confidence, with notable differences in proficiency based on age and gender, where older students and male participants exhibited higher skill levels. The findings highlighted the importance of self-defense training in enhancing students’ self-confidence and suggested the implementation of targeted programs to improve both proficiency and psychological well-being. These results emphasized the need for schools to adopt self-defense training as part of their curriculum to foster personal safety and self-assurance among students.
