ABSTRACT
The study investigated the relationship between the extent of implementation of Ice Hockey specialized training for athletes and students’ extent of engagement, level of skill and attitude in Ice Hockey. Moreover, it also delved into analyzing the problems and challenges encountered by the athletes in ice hockey training. The participants of the study were elementary pupils enrolled in Ice Hockey Specialized courses and the professional trainers from the ice hockey specialized schools in Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province. The results show the participants in different primary schools in Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang exhibit a moderate extent of engagement in ice hockey as well as moderate level of skill in ice hockey, along with a favorable attitude towards the said snow sport. As the extent of implementation of specialized ice hockey training was assessed as moderate, it is concluded that there is a significant relationship between the extent of implementation of specialized ice hockey training and athletes’ extent of engagement in ice hockey, their level of skill in this sport and their attitude towards this snow sport.
