ABSTRACT
This study aimed to assess the relationship between the results of the Practical English Test for College A and English professional interaction competence, with the goal of proposing a Plan of Action to enhance E-business majors’ proficiency in English professional interaction activities. The study adopted a mixed-method approach, incorporating both quantitative and qualitative methods. A total of 43 students enrolled in College English during the second semester of the 2023-2024 academic year were invited to participate. A questionnaire was administered to analyze the problems participants encountered while demonstrating English professional interaction competence. The results indicated significant relationships between certain components of the Practical English Test for College and specific categories of English professional interaction competence. Based on the analysis, a training plan was proposed to improve E-business majors’ English professional interaction competence.
