ABSTRACT
The purpose of the study is to determine the relationship between frustration tolerance and academic self-efficacy among college students in Guangdong Polytechnic of Water Resources and Electric Engineering. The study used a mixed method of research design. Utilizing purposive sampling method, the participants of the study are 431 students who are the college students from freshmen to junior at Guangdong Polytechnic of Water Resources and Electric Engineering in Guangdong, China. The instruments used for the study were the Frustration Tolerance Questionnaire (FTQ) and the Academic Self-Efficacy Questionnaire (ASEQ). The statistical tools that were utilized in analyzing the data gathered include Frequency and Percentage Distribution to present the Participants’ level of frustration tolerance and academic self-efficac; Chi-square test to measure whether there exists a relationship between frustration tolerance and academic self-efficacy considered in the study. The results of this study suggest that there is a significant relationship between frustration tolerance and academic self-efficacy.
