ABSTRACT
In today’s competitive business environment, innovation is essential for an enterprise’s success. As market demands evolve and technology progresses, companies must innovate continuously to remain competitive. This study examines the relationship between employee engagement in business innovation and the operational performance of Shenzhen Shangyou Network Technology Co. Using a mixed research design that incorporates both quantitative and qualitative methods, data was collected through random sampling, with questionnaires distributed to managers and employees. Various statistical analyses, including frequency, percentage, mean, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson r, and thematic analysis, were conducted to analyze the results. The findings reveal that promoting employee engagement in innovative practices across research and development, marketing, human resources, and operations fosters a culture of collaboration and creativity, leading to improved operational efficiency, product development, and market positioning. Moreover, the company’s financial performance, internal business processes, and learning and growth are closely linked to these innovation practices, demonstrating that comprehensive innovation enhances organizational effectiveness and drives sustainable growth. However, challenges in employee engagement could hinder participation in innovation, which may ultimately impact the company’s performance. To maintain growth and competitiveness, it is crucial to address these issues and foster greater engagement in innovative practices.
