ABSTRACT

This research explored the relationship between coping styles, emotional regulation self-efficacy, and mental health levels among college students, in order to provide empirical support for research on mental health education for college students. This article conducted a survey on 560 college students from the School of Electronic Information Engineering, Hengshui University, using standardized questionnaires which include the Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire (SCSQ), Regulatory Emotional Self-Efficacy Scale (RES), and General Health Questionnaire Scale (GHQ-12). The research found that coping styles and emotional regulation self-efficacy are significantly correlated with mental health. The higher the level of coping styles and emotional regulation self-efficacy, the higher the level of mental health. Cultivating and improving coping styles and emotional regulation self-efficacy among college students can not only overcome emotional and emotional barriers but also improve their mental health level.
