ABSTRACT

This research investigates the relationship between academic stress and academic performance among college students, as well as the effectiveness of their coping mechanisms. The study involved college students from Zhangjiakou University, and used structured questionnaire to assess their levels of academic stress, coping strategies, and academic performance. The findings reveal that students experienced moderate levels of academic stress and utilized a range of coping mechanisms, including problem-focused, emotion-focused, and avoidant strategies. Remarkably, despite facing these challenges, participants generally maintained strong academic performance, highlighting their resilience in effectively managing stress while achieving academic success.
