ABSTRACT

The study aimed to assess elementary teachers’ level of competence in the digitization of classroom management. Mixed research approach through descriptive-correlational design and thematic analysis was used. The data were collected through online survey with the 18 elementary teachers across grade levels at St. Paul University Philippines. Results of the descriptive analysis showed that the participants’ level of competence in the digitization of classroom management is very high. In addition, there exists a significant correlation between the participants’ level of knowledge of and skills in digitization of classroom management, between their level of knowledge of and attitude towards digitization of classroom management, and between their level of skills in and attitude towards digitization of classroom management. The problems and challenges encountered by the participants in the digitization of classroom management include limited professional development, inadequate resources, traditional education, lack of institutional support, and technological distraction. Considering the study’s salient findings, the researchers designed a plan of action to enhance teachers’ level of competence in the digitization of classroom management.
