ABSTRACT
This descriptive research aimed to assess the relationship between marital burnout and self-efficacy by measuring the general self-efficacy and marital burnout of married faculty members. A total of 290 married faculty members from Guangdong Vocational College of Science and Technology were included in the sample. The Marital Burnout Questionnaire (CBM) was utilized, with a score of ≥3 indicating marital burnout. Specifically, scores ranging from 3 to 4 points (excluding 4 points) indicated mild burnout, while scores ranging from 4 to 5 points (excluding 5 points) indicated moderate burnout. Additionally, a score of ≥5 indicated high burnout. The General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES) was also employed for investigation purposes. Frequency and Percentage Distributions were used to calculate the detection and distribution of marital burnout and self-efficacy, and chi-square tests were used to determine significant differences in the degree of self-efficacy and the level of marital burnout among participants. The results showed that there is a significant difference in the level of self-efficacy of the participants when they are grouped according to profile variables. There is a significant difference in the level of marital burnout of the participants when they are grouped according to their profile variables. There is a significant relationship between self-efficacy and marital burnout.
