ABSTRACT
This study aimed to examine the relationship between academic resilience and academic performance among college students at the College of Medical Technology, Anhui Medical College. Using a mixed-methods approach that combined quantitative surveys and qualitative analysis, the research found that students demonstrated high academic resilience in perseverance and reflective/adaptive help-seeking, but moderate resilience in managing negative effects and emotional response. Most students achieved strong academic performance, and a significant positive correlation was identified between academic resilience and academic performance. Gender had no significant influence on either variable, while age was significantly associated with academic performance. Additionally, the program of study significantly affected academic resilience in the dimension of negative effects and emotional response. Students reported challenges related to emotional regulation, support systems, coping with failure, self-efficacy, learning strategies, course difficulty, test anxiety, and time management. In response, the study proposed an action plan involving psychological counseling, strategy training, improved resource utilization, and course support to strengthen academic resilience and enhance performance.
