ABSTRACT
This research aimed to design and develop a St. Paul University Philippines (SPUP) Health Information System to address the challenges and difficulties in managing medical information at the SPUP Healthcare Services Unit. The study used interviews to elicit the responses of students, clinicians, nursing professors, and IT experts regarding the problems and challenges encountered by the Health Services Unit in managing the health information of students and employees, and these responses were explored through thematic analysis. The data collected helped gather a wide range of information to address the issues, which in turn helped develop the system. The system utilized the theoretical concept of algorithm technology and prediction models used in decision making in which clinicians are assisted in managing daily health records and improving work efficiency. The system received a “Great Extent” rating for its compliance with the ISO/IEC 25010 Software Quality Standards.
