ABSTRACT
This study examines the quality of employment among graduates of Guangdong Polytechnic of Science and Technology in Zhuhai City, focusing on cohorts from 2019 to 2021. It evaluates employment stability, job satisfaction, and the effectiveness of immersion programs and support services, while identifying key challenges and proposing strategies to improve employment outcomes. Employing a mixed-methods approach, the research combines quantitative survey data with qualitative insights from interviews. Results reveal notable disparities in employment stability, compensation, and career advancement, largely shaped by the alignment between graduates’ fields of study and market demands. While overall satisfaction with support services was moderate, graduates highlighted gaps in career guidance, skill alignment, and readiness for industry needs. The study recommends strengthening school–enterprise collaborations, expanding vocational training, and enhancing employment information systems to bridge the gap between academic preparation and labor market requirements. These measures are expected to promote sustainable career growth, improve job satisfaction, and facilitate smoother integration of graduates into the workforce.
